WEEK 6: REVERE JESUS: THE LAMB IN GLORY!: Do you revere Jesus as the Lamb worthy to write in the Book of Life?
Day 37: Thu 22 Mar, 18
“Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29
Do you revere Jesus as the Lamb worthy to write in the Book of Life?
“Before the foundation of the world, names have been written in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.” “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain; and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation...”
Revelation 13:8, 5:9 NIV
Worship: Revelation Song
What does the Bible say about the final judgement?
As we seek to enter into the narrow gate, it is helpful to be reminded of the warnings of the coming judgement:
2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.”
John 5:21-23, “For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honour the Son, just as they honour the Father. Whoever does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who sent him.”
Revelation 14:7, “And he said with a loud voice, “’Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.’”
Revelation 11:18, “The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small— and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”
Luke 13:23-28, “And someone said to him, “Lord, will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able… In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out.”
2 Thessalonians 1:9-10, “They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might when He comes on that day to be glorified in his saints and to be marvelled at by all who have believed..” You may also like to read Matthew 7:21-23 and Matthew 25:31-46
Do you have the Holy Spirit’s assurance that your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?
Romans 10:8-10 “But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’ (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
Jesus said, “rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:20
“Jesus came to save the lost so that the redeemed could walk in the full dignity and purpose for which the Father created us. He gave his life to break the curse of sin and so purchased men for God. His gift of salvation empowered people to be filled with obedience to and affection for God – vindicating God’s name.”
Mike Bickle, That the Lamb Would Receive the Reward of His Suffering.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 1:24-25, “Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”

Pray All People Hear the Gospel
Lord, we bow in earnest petition today for those we know and love whose names may not yet be written in Your Book of Life. We pray with the same earnestness, Jesus for the unreached people in our local area and the Queensland towns of Anakie and Emerald where the Queen’s Baton is today; to the nations represented at the Commonwealth Games; and the many small unreached people groups in Indonesia – such the 500 Punan Keriau people of ethnic religions.
