WEEK 6: REVERE JESUS: THE LAMB IN GLORY!: Will you revere Jesus by bringing Him the reward of His suffering?
Day 38: Fri 23 Mar, 18
“Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29
Will you revere Jesus by bringing Him the reward of His suffering?
“Then the end will come, when he [Jesus] hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death… When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.”
1 Corinthians 15:24-28
God All in All
The Moravians declared, “May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of his suffering!”
What is the Lamb’s reward? Today’s reading says, the Lamb’s reward is fulfilled when God is all in all. Jesus gave his all to the Father, so His Father would be all in all - in the hearts of all the redeemed and in heaven and earth! “For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” Romans 11:36
The Lamb receives His reward when God is all in all:
- When the Jesus is Lord in us.
- When the assembly of the saints is complete.
- When evil is finally exterminated.
When the Lamb is honoured as Lord in us
“He [Jesus] who descended is the One who ascended…that He might fill all things.” Ephesians 4:10 Colossians 3:1-11 describes how this happens, “when you [who] have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you… put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here…Christ is all, and in all.”
“I believe the Father is crying out today, ‘This is My Son! He will be honoured for His sacrifice on the cross! His blood will be honoured on earth as it is in heaven. My Son will receive the reward of His suffering as a Lamb!”

When the assembly of the saints is complete
In John 17:24 Jesus prayed, “Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.” It will be profound to stand before Jesus with those He has entrusted to us!
Jesus brings many sons to glory! (Hebrews 2:10-18)
God’s righteous acts compel all nations to worship the King of the Nations! (Revelation 15:3-4) “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honour and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” Revelation 7:9-12
When evil is finally exterminated
Revelation 12:10, “And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “’Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.’”
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” Galatians 1:3-5 Say with Paul, “The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:18
