WEEK 6: REVERE JESUS: THE LAMB IN GLORY!: Revere the Lamb in Glory Who Reigns Forever!
Day 40: Sun 25 Mar, 18
“Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29
Revere the Lamb in Glory Who Reigns Forever!
“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing. And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honour and glory and dominion forever and ever.”
Worship: Forever Live
“To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Timothy 1:17
What does the Bible say about the establishment of Jesus’ eternal kingdom?
Daniel foretold, “Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’ Daniel 7:27
John shared a revelation of the things that must soon take place, that were made known to him through a series of visions interpreted to him by an angel of the Lord. John begins by summarising the good news of the gospel, “Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come… and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen…” Revelation 1:4-6
John concludes, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband, and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.” Revelation 21:1-3
“And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb… And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.” Revelation 21:14, 22-25, “…to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.” Revelation 22:1-5 NIV

Welcome the King of Glory!
“He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah
Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!
Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory!”
Pray All People Hear the Gospel
Lord, we pray today for the healing of the nations, Jesus’ kingdom come on earth as in heaven. While there is still time, we pray for the unreached people in our local area and the people on Fraser Island and in Hervey Bay in Queensland where the Queen’s Baton is today; to the nations represented at the Commonwealth Games; and the many small unreached people groups in Malyasia – such as the Temoq people of ethnic religions.
